Skillet Garlic Butter Zoodles (Moderate Skill)
This feels like an elegant Italian restaurant dish, but it’s incredibly simple to execute.
Kitchen Equipment Needed:
• Skillet
• Tongs
• Paper Towels
Ingredients:
2 medium Zucchinis, turned into noodles (you can buy these pre-cut at the store!)
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Butter
1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
A squeeze of fresh Lemon Juice
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Dry: Spread the zucchini noodles onto paper towels and pat them dry.
2. Melt: Add the olive oil and butter to your skillet over medium heat.
3. Flash Cook: Once the butter is melted and bubbling gently, use tongs to place the zoodles into the pan. Toss them continuously in the garlic butter for exactly 2 minutes.
4. Season: Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and the grated parmesan cheese while still in the pan. Toss one more time so the cheese melts into a light coating.
5. Plate: Use tongs to lift the noodles out of the pan onto a plate (leaving any excess water behind in the pan). Squeeze a touch of fresh lemon juice over the top and enjoy.
